Our Story
Bee Coco Candle began as a “wild idea” retirement plan and quickly grew into a mission-driven small business. Founded by husband-and-wife team Eric and Noreen Francis in the suburbs of Chicago, Bee Coco was created to solve a personal need: truly clean-burning candles.
Living with an autoimmune condition and sharing their home with a dog and two cats, Noreen struggled to find candles that didn’t cause sensitivities. Together, they set out to create a better, safer option.
What Makes Bee Coco Different
Every Bee Coco Candle is hand-poured in small batches using a premium coconut-apricot wax blend that is completely soy-free and free from parabens, phthalates, and harmful toxins. Our scents are thoughtfully crafted with essential-oil-infused fragrances that are Prop 65 compliant and pet-conscious, and we use lead-free cotton wicks for a cleaner burn.
Our minimalist jars are designed to be reused, because sustainability matters to us.

We also carry beautiful, functional pottery from Belly Bodega, made to be used and loved every day.
From beeswax tapers, pillars, tea lights, and our unscented beeswax balm—made with locally sourced Illinois beeswax—to the makers we proudly partner with, every item we offer is chosen with intention. Together, they reflect our belief in quality over quantity, community over convenience, and products that truly feel good to bring into your home.
