A Mission Forged from Service and Struggle

The story of Badass Beard Care begins with founder Charlie Moyer, a man who grew up surrounded by "heavily bearded, manly men" for whom beards were a way of life. Following in his father's footsteps, Charlie enlisted in the military on his 17th birthday, putting his own beard journey on hold to serve his country.

After a decade of service and a medical discharge due to injuries, Charlie was finally ready to grow his "badass beard" in honor of his late father. But a month in, the itchiness and rough texture were nearly unbearable. Determined to find a solution, he bought a specialty balm from a mall shop, only to discover its main ingredient was turpentine—the same stuff used in paint thinner!

Crafting a Better Solution

Frustrated but not defeated, Charlie took matters into his own hands. He began experimenting with his own oils and balms, determined to create a product that worked. After countless attempts, he developed a formula using premium, all-natural ingredients that transformed his own beard.

He shared his creations with fellow veterans at his college's veteran center. They loved the products so much, they started buying them for themselves and as gifts. The demand grew, and Badass Beard Care was born.
